2nd year of covid-19 has hit everyone very badly, also affects many areas of life including mental health.

Nowadays people are facing fear, stress, anger, anxiety, depression. People are hopeless, helpless, and depressed, poor people have been struggling with the anxiety of hunger. Some people are struggling with their jobs, while many have been struggling with another subject. Few people come out of broken relationships and may not know how to move on, Maybe some people have parental pressure.

It is very hard for everyone when we can not identify the truth about life, then every second of our pathetic life we see everything as useless, which leads us to depression and anxiety.

Unfortunately, it’s a bad time for all of us but I don’t think that it all began yesterday or the day before yesterday rather it began when we all came into this world.

For instance, if you were born in starting of the 20th century then you were facing WW1, soon after the global pandemic (influenza), Global Economic Crisis due to which 15 million Americans lost their job,

6 million Jewish died in The Holocaust then the Korean war begins later the Vietnam war begins, etc. Our history is full of bloodshed.

Still, we complain about everything.

Depression!” This word has taken more lives than any weapon, it’s so painful that it controls a person to express the simplest of thoughts. People don’t talk about it as much as they talk about other diseases but still, people are looking for signs.

More than 300 million people worldwide are suffering from depression according to the world health Organization when it’s come countries, India is the most depressed country in the world followed by the USA, China, Brazil & Russia.

“We generally ask “ How are you?” Are we really interested in knowing how the person is? How the person is feeling?

While living with depression and anxiety in countries like India is not an easy task. Because things like mental illness and stress are not given much attention here.

There are types of misconceptions in our Indian society towards mental illness. People are ignorant & lack awareness about depression, shortage of psychologists psychiatrist, etc,

Yeah, maybe the world can be a beautiful place for all of us but When you look with your conscience or at people around you, you will know the world can be a cruel place and all the peace and friendship can end in just the blink of an eye.

No matter how much you try to differentiate yourself from others, the truth is that you are to some extent a reflection of the rest of the world. We are all in an era where we share our daily routine on social media.

“Dear today, I spend all of you pretending I’m okay when I’m not, pretending I’m happy when I’m not, pretending about everything to everyone.”

Lina LaCour ( Hold Still )

There are smiling selfies, photos, status, memes, stories, etc. But no one knows how many problems and pain are hidden behind those smiling pictures & laughing jokes.

Any person can ever come in a state of depression no matter your age, background, and status.

Only thing we have to fear is fear itself

We all are surrounded by some problems. In this covid-19 crisis, everyone is suffering from the drastic change in daily routines.

Find a way to comfort, don’t worry about the future, try to stay in the present because the only thing you can control is your present moment.

The biggest lesson from the life you can learn is your certainty about the future was nothing & probably wrong. Things change in a way you can’t imagine.

It is time to be a little selfish, not complaining and crying. Meet with great people and keep in touch with friends, family & dear ones & reach out for support.

You don’t need to say “ I Love you “ you need to ask “ how are you?

Keep the lamp of your optimism lit. Humanity has survived more occurrences and never lost the joy of peaceful and happy living.
