“ Perception is not reality but an individual’s interpretation of reality, isn’t it?

Imagine if your friends assume things about you without even talking to you, in his perception of reality you are rude or loner. Is it really true or is it will go to affect you ? “

I’m not an expert nor a philosopher. I don’t think that is the only answer you are looking for, the number of assumptions was in my head to realize and It took me a long time to reach a certain conclusion. Just a curious soul wandering in search of the truth.

Let me explain to you: -

Every person has a different idea of what’s attractive and what’s not. Sometimes whatever we think is only our perception of reality, A man is made up of perception & ideas so we all have conceptual knowledge. Every day we take a bit of information inside our brain. After some time that Information is broken down into smaller pieces of information. When we are aware of this information, it completely dissolves with our experience and emotions and comes out as our perception towards the world.

For instance, “ In a group of people, someone says that ‘i saw sita was going with her cow’ then a group of people will come out with different perspectives because everyone has imagined cow and Sita in many ways based on their experience & emotions. “

They can’t be simultaneously true. Perhaps there would be a paradox in the perspective of all of them. Therefore we cannot choose one over the other. It will violate free will because the truth is multidimensional, not just one.

Philosophical views on perception:-

Many of us will be aware of the word “syadvada” one of the central themes of Jain’s philosophy. There is a beautiful story about six blind men & elephants and their different perspectives. Read more:- https://meandwisom.medium.com/jaina-philosophy-is-syadvada-d73d1c2a546d

The space between perception & reality is very dangerous. Your perception can make or break a relationship. Everyone is a hero in their movie. In my perception of reality I am a hero then you are a villain & that leads me to fight against you.

Many times it happens that we are adamant about our point that we are right and everything else is wrong. But we may see only one aspect of the coin and apart from that, some facts are correct. Reality is separate from all of us.

Everyday, we debate on politics, religion etc. Do we finally get a correct answer? Is it not a silly to argue on such topic ? It is not about my reality vs your reality nor it is about better than one’s reality. Because it will may contradict to some extent. how will you solve this contradict?

It’s all depends on how we perceive and see things. We just need to change our perspective & see from a bigger perspective. Because our perception towards something is certain but there is always a chance to have parallel truth.

Each object has many sides therefore it can be seen in many ways.

perception of unity is only helpful for acquiring knowledge, not an absolute reality. You don’t need to agree with me. Now you have your perception of reality.

Hope you entertained this blog.
